Senior Portraits

The deadline to be photographed is 10/31.  The photographers will not be back this year for Seniors. Any senior still needing to be photographed must contact Island Photo immediately at (516) 767-1234.

*Seniors that do not take a portrait will be listed as "Not Photographed" in the Yearbook.

“I took my Senior Portrait… now what??”

 ....Choose your pose!

After you have taken your photo, you should receive a proof package in the mail and also see online. It is from this package that you can order photos from Island Photography. Once you receive your proof package, it is very important that you select your "Yearbook Pose" as soon as possible. You MUST pick from one of the photos with the black top/tux and blue/gray background (with no graphic at the bottom). We do not print the cap/gown pose in the yearbook. If you choose a different outfit or background it will be changed to another photo. You can pick it out online. The information on how to do this should be included in your proof package. If you do not choose your yearbook pose, the lab will pick a choice by default... this is not always the most flattering pose and once the deadline has passed we cannot change it!

If you do not choose your portrait pose by 10/31 you run the risk of having a default photo. If you are having a problem with selecting your yearbook pose, contact Mrs. Semple via email at csemple@commack.k12.ny.us 

We will do everything we can to make sure every senior has their portrait in the yearbook, however, once we submit our portrait pages to our yearbook publisher, there will be nothing that we can do.

Underclass Portraits were taken in PE classes.

Retakes and Makeups will be 11/6 & 11/7 in the Art Gallery. 

Credit or debit card will be needed to complete the order.

Want to help us? Submit your own photos!

Students will have the ability to submit their own photos to Crossroads to be considered for this year's yearbook!

Keep in mind, images should be high resolution and should be qood quality-- not blurry or dark. 

They should be original images, do not submit not screenshots of images from another photographer.

Fine print:  
Crossroads has the right to choose which photos will be used, and cannot guarantee all photos will be published. 

Quality of the photos and content will be considered.

Join us!

Crossroads Yearbook is created as an extra-curricular club that is open to any student who has an interest in photography, layout, design, writing or business. We are looking for students who are willing to dedicate their time and creativity towards producing our yearbook. The rewards will be the end result that the entire school community will have in their hands.

We are always in need of Photographers & Business/Sales Staff. The entire Yearbook is finished in the end of March/beginning of April. This club would require a lot of extra time from September-March.

Interested students should contact Mrs. Semple or stop by the "Publishing Suite," which is located on the 2nd floor, in the front hallway, between B& c wings among the blue lockers. We are called the "Publishing Suite" because we share the office with The Courant, school newspaper.
