CMS Students Hear from Alum about Community Service through Lundqvist Foundation
CHS student Addison S. returned to her old stomping grounds at CMS on Wednesday morning to share with students in Jason Fluger’s sports management class her experience as a Henrik Lundqvist Foundation young ambassador.
Addison applied to the program twice before being accepted.
Upon joining the program — which encourages students ages 12 to 18 to engage in community service projects — Addison led a drive that collected more than 150 toys for young patients at Stony Brook University Hospital.
As a perk for her participation, Addison and other program participants are due to meet the former New York Rangers goaltender in two weeks at Madison Square Garden.
Addison shared details about the application process to join the program with the CMS sports management students on Wednesday morning and encouraged them to apply.
