CHS Salutes Class of 2025's Top Academic Achievers

Principal Carrie Lipenholtz and other administrators saluted the high school’s most outstanding academic achievers among the Class of 2025 during a Top Cohort Breakfast on Wednesday morning.
After administrators served the 64 seniors breakfast, including waffles with ample whipped cream, Lipenholtz lauded the students for their contributions to the school and community beyond the classroom.
“Everybody here is involved in so many different groups and activities and athletics here in our building,” Lipenholtz told the students. “You really represent what CHS is all about. It’s not just about academics.”
The 64 seniors each achieved weighted GPAs of at least 100 during their four years at CHS.
They also will be honored during an evening ceremony with their families on June 11. During that Senior Awards and Top Cohort Recognition ceremony, the honorees will receive a braid that will be placed on their robes during graduation to distinguish them for their academic achievements.
Lipenholtz also invited the students on Wednesday morning to sign up to speak at various upcoming events, including department award ceremonies.
Wednesday’s event launched a couple of months of celebrations leading into CHS graduation on June 27.
Up next: Commitment Day on May 1, when seniors gather wearing apparel from their college and military branch selections.
