Officer Levy Talks Safety at CHS
Suffolk County Police Department school resource officer Jesse Levy is visiting CHS health classes on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss the perils of underage drinking.
Officer Levy capped his lesson by having students try goggles that simulate inebriation and had the students attempt to walk a line.
Still, Officer Levy told the students that if they call 9-1-1 for an emergency at a party at which there is underage drinking, that won't result in legal implications. That's in place so no one is discouraged from seeking medical attention for someone in peril.
Officer Levy also told the students about the potential legal implications of having a fake ID and how parents and guardians can be severely held liable if something occurs at a party at which there is underage drinking.
