CHS Hosts College Fair
CHS students continued to learn about higher-education options as the school’s Counseling Center hosted the North Shore Consortium mini college fair on Wednesday morning.
Representatives from 52 schools manned tables as students bounced from booth to booth inside the North Gym to learn more about the respective schools.
Wednesday’s fair was a prelude to a second such “mini” event in March.
That month, CHS also will host an evening college fair in which families are welcome to attend alongside their students. The evening fair will include more than 150 colleges and universities.
Some business and physical education classes attended Wednesday’s event as a group. Students otherwise had the opportunity to be excused from class to participate. All grades were welcome, although the event primarily attracted juniors.
Wednesday’s event primarily included schools from the tri-state area, although other consortium members that attended included Virginia Tech as well as Merrimack in Massachusetts.
