COMMACK HIGH SCHOOL

Commack and Smithtown high school students volunteered their time on Saturday morning as local first responders, including the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Commack Fire Department, went through emergency-response drills at Hoyt Farm.

The students were assigned various injuries and the first responders simulated treatment at an actual situation.

The first responders also practiced using the jaws of life and other tools.
